Looking very nice :) I will never try again after my first attempt. I just quit because I was getting no where. At least it was a spare piece that was not on my car nor is now :D

hey david,
so you got someone to polish your stuff for you? could you pm w/ how much they charged you, i'm interested to know approx. how much this service costs.

RX7SpiritR 11-20-02 01:00 PM

can't you just buff the living SHIT out of the manifold to get it to look like that? Or is it a lot more complicated. I'm guessing it's more complicated but I felt like making a funny remark about buffing the living shit out of something. Just feel like buffing the shit out of something....LOL!

Fd3BOOST 11-20-02 02:54 PM

You might want to replace your stock AST with a bling bling aluminum version before it blows up and squirts coolant all over your shiny engine bay :).

Polishing isn't that tough if you have the right tools. Grab a dremel and drill with the right attachments, and you're golden. But you still won't get things as good as TTT. He has got some special mojo!

You probably haven't tried it yet...I happen to have a dremel and a drill with every attachment under the sun...I think some "know how" really has something to do with it...TTT now has my stuff :D yeah me!!!

A dremel?:D You're going to need something more heavy duty then a dremel...unless you've got a lot of time on your hands, hehe.;)

jalers 11-22-02 01:26 PM

yeah right, good luck with that. just trying to sand away the millions of casting pits in the im takes forever and a half. then you gotta try and sand down the sanding marks from your sandpaper to finer and finer grit. it's not as easy as it seems.
