PMC not controlling boost properly with MBC installed

Hey all, I installed a PMC on my FD like 5 months ago (shortly before it went in to storage for the winter) and noticed that regardless of the boost setting I selected on the PMC keypad (I have vent learn on) it would still only boost 10psi max, which is what I had my MBC set to before the install. I was under the impression that if I kept the MBC at stock boost, the PMC would adjust the wastegate accordingly for different boost levels. Am I wrong? I suppose since the PMC controls the boost itself I don't need the MBC at all, but if I take it out, what do I have to do to the vacuum line to make it function as stock? Are there any restrictor pills that are supposed to be inserted, or can I just couple the two lines together sans the MBC?

It's frustrating because I installed this ECU so I could run higher boost without my engine going jiffypop on me, but as it is now it's just a waste of money. :p Thanks in advance for the help!

The comp wont control boost with that open exhaust. The stock wastegate is dependent on the back pressure of at least a highflow cat.

You have to turn your MBC up, that is what is controling your boost. By having the boost set high in the PMS, it is simply extrapolating the rest of the fuel curve if you go to that boost.

Just turn the MBC up and you should be fine. I wish mine stayed around 10 after 4500 with out my 'right foot boost control'

if you are non-seq you have to switch the PC solenoid with the WG solenoid.

if you are seq...lose the MBC, and put a hi-flo (or stock cat) on and your car will be frightening fast!

To tune the boost (turn vent learn off), go into menu 9 on setting 3 and select, "Do Manual Vent Adjust". The higher the vent value the higher the boost...get it right and leave it alone. Setting 3 sets boost venting for all settings. The purple is actually really good at controlling seq. boosting.
