Ok, bought a bone stock 93 Touring about 3 months ago. Saved up some more money and have bought the following: Greddy SMIC, BNR Stage 2's (15 PSI), Koyo Radiator, 1200cc secondary injectors, Supra TT fuel pump, DP/MP, CB, Intake, Alum. AST, and Tuned PFC to all these mods. Is there anything else I need before I install all this stuff? Or is safety mods to the engine etc met properly? Just want to make sure this transition is going to be OK right off the bat for my engine. Also what kind of 1/4 mile time and 0-60 should i expect with this set-up?

Installing a bunch of mods all at once isn't really bad for the engine, it will love its new found breathing capacity. But if there is an issue with any of the mods, either with the installation of them, or with the parts themselves, it will multiply your diagnosis time tenfold.

I was thinking I would need oil cooler? If so where do you suggest I buy it?

I couldnt agree more.
You might consider adding these parts in stages. It's going to be a show if something doesnt work right. You installing these parts?? |

I have a question, Why do you keep buying all these parts and you havnt tryed any of them out yet and your still talking about buyin???? Why do you think you need an oil cooler. Is your stock one damaged? |
I am installing this stuff myself along with a friend who also owns a 93 RX7 and has done this stuff before. We do have it staged out in 2 parts. One being IC, radiator, intake, exhaust. Then second stage being turbos, fuel, dp/mp, ecu install. I figure when I add turbos I want it to be complemented by the needed add ons for that initial turbo install. And I don't want major performance mods installed without the tuned PFC in there or the tuned PFC in there without the major performance mods. As for oil cooler, I was told it would be needed by adding so much HP to the motor...wondering if true or bogus. Also, very interested in potential 1/4 mile time and 0-60 time on this set-up.

1/4 mile times are going to vary quite a bit.
I have seen guys with t78's not be able to break a 12 flat and I have seen guys on stock twins run low 11's. With the stars and planets all in alignment and the right tires on some c17 you can get 11 seconds. That set up does not really require an upgraded oil filter. Of coarse you cant really go wrong with cooling mods if you feel like spending your money. |
do fuel in the first stage.
