Please Help!!!!!
Before I get to what’s wrong a little history, I just moved the battery to the back bin, it sat for couple days after the move was done, also my clutch is very bad, I’m getting a lot of slipping... ok... now i started it to go for a drive... and when i turned the key.... It fired... but then it was about to die like the battery was dead, but it still fired up, while it was idling, I took the battery tester and tested the battery, it was VERY low, but it was running and the car was idling fine....
Well I took it for a ride anyway, and it ran fine.... The highway isn’t very far from where I live and so I took it there. I rode around for about 20 mins and I was in 5th most the time. I left it in 5th, going about 70 I floored it, at such a low speed for a high gear I was not moving very fast but I was moving, but then suddenly something happened.... I wasn’t sure but the car wasn’t acting right, so I took it out of gear and I didn’t touch the trottle or the clutch at all. The sec I took it out of gear though, the car kept revving from 2000 to 3000. From what it looked like the car wanted to stay at around 2500? The entire time I was revving like that.... So needless to say when I was trying to get into gear to move to a good place to stop it continued to rev, and it would make the car buckle and I would smell my clutch. So I pulled over, and immediately killed the engine, looked at whatever hoses I could see at 10 at night and everything looked to be fine and in place... I started the car, and it went back to the reving.... Looked out back and didn’t see any type of smoke, I turned the key to the on position and I could hear clicking from the engine bay, the only thing I could connect that with is the injectors clicking in fuel. I immediately pulled the key out. Went back to the bay and looked for anything else that was wrong and didn’t see anything. So i started the car again and this time it fired up and revved up really high and then a gunshot backfire from the exhaust… I think I was right when I heard the injectors clicking cause I smelled a lot of gas after the pop.... Well I endured the whole buckling thing, revving my loud ass car at the stoplights, and drove home... It is recharging. Now morning, I fire it up and VROOM! Revs up to like 5000 rpm! My car still has the accelerated start and I control that by putting it in gear when I first start and when it falls I pull it out of gear. Well…. Sometimes you can tap the trottle and it will kill the accel start… I taped it and it fell to about 2000 and then right back up to revving on its own… but this time it was up in the 4000-5000 range… the battery is completely charged… So my question is: Could it be because of the low battery that my car was revving like that inorder for the alternator to produce enough power to make the car stay alive? ( when I restarted the car it fired up fine) Could it be my clutch trying to "catch" or something of the sorts? (I know nothing about the clutch cept that mines slipping) Could my battery move have done something where I short-circuited the car somewhere? I’m slowly in the process of checking all the fuses and so far I haven’t found anything… PLEASE Any help will be greatly appreciated, I’m just happy that my engine is still running. If I remmeber correctly, you also had the upper manifold off. Did you make sure that every thing is connected? Sould like the TPS is not seated well, or that you didn't ge the air thermosensor on.

I'm no expert but I think your clutch is toast and the engine is just revving cause the clutch isn't holding the revs down at all.
