Please Help

Im new here and im only 16, i am currently driving a 1988 Isuzu Trooper.I know many of you guys and gals are established in youre respected proffesions and im just starting off,but im currently trying to get my hands on a used FD.My brother keeps telling me that i cant handle it and should consider a civic. But i cant get the dream of taking a beaten down high mileage Fd and turnit into a high performance machine. What should i do,is it possible for me to be able to handle the car?I can afford a 15k one, but i want a realy used and use the excess money for mods, etc. what should i do,thanx.

Do as you feel get a used one and build it if you spend alot of time and money to do it right and not respect the car and drive like a stupid kid that is your down fall. get the car build it correctly and drive it like an adult , racing on the track not on the street like me , us. It is your time , money , learning curve, your life to be happy with ,or lose in a car wreak.
