Pics of SMIC duct extension?

I picked up one of these a while back and have been staring at the thing figuring out how to mount it. I pulled my fogs off cuz those were in the way and now there is that black plastic support for the mouth of the bumper Im about to cut off.

Anyone have any pics of this installed?

I can take one of mine...I basically trimed it to fit and used a L bracket to hold it into place. you just have to be creative.

If you don't mind taking a pic, it would be helpful. I kinda made room for it. Had to remove the fogs & cut off those black bars. Haven't really found the mounting solution yet though.

I mounted it to the rebar...

I'm alittle under the weather....I'll try to get off the couch and take a pic later today.

I glued mine together. I wish i didn't cause i wasn't able to take out the duct when i pulled the motor out. It didn't really get in the way though.

With all due respect to Kevin, that duct extension leaves a lot to be desired. You'll get a lot more airflow into the duct and IC if you make the transition into the duct much smoother, instead of what amounts to a near 90-degree bend inward.

I'm probably going to fab my own extension out of some fiberglass.

When I fabbed an extension to the duct for my Greddy SMIC a long time ago, I made sure the transition was as smooth as possible, and I noticed a significant decrease in IC body temps at lower speeds.

My extension duct it still sitting on the shelf :D But I remember Kevin saying that you're to trim it to your desired length with regards to radiator blockage, and use friction to hold it into place. I've yet to try to install mine, so I'm not sure what friction he was referring to.

Ok here is how I did mine. I basically trimmed the duct and used two "L" brackets and a rivot gun.

I tilted it down slightly so you could see the junction of the bottom of the duct to the scoop.
