Picks of my new baby...

Just got the car back from a five month coma.

Incredible amount of thanks go to the three masters who worked on it/with it during that time.

Rob Golden - Pineapple Racing
Chris Ott - Rotary Performance
Chris ??? - Auto Body Specialist

I now have (obviously) new paint, a single turbo with all the peripherals, and a rebuilt, mildly street ported 13B.

Enjoy the pics,

Soon. My father-in-law and I co-own the car and these are pics he took this morning. Guess he didn't feel like popping the hood. Plus, we're both still a little awestruck by the paint still.

Here's a link to a few pics of the engine bay before clean-up and tune.

NICE! I wanna see pics of my contribution to your car - the din gauge panel!:D

dclin 05-12-02 12:02 PM

BTW, I just noticed there is a Texas wide meet scheduled for Austin on June 29th - gonna be there? I need to check on vaca time, but I'm planning on going. Love to see your car there!

Hi Daniel. I'll probably make the meet, assuming I don't have to go out of town for work.

Yeah, the DIN gauge panel is a work in progress. As a matter of fact, since the car has been out of our possession for so damn long, we're only now beginning to think of gauges, interior, rims and so on.

Let the money pit continue to grow!!

Should be fun, and if and when I do the panel gauges, I'll definitely post pics.

A little different than mystic, IIRC. The Cobra's were covered with a different brand of paint that flashed three colors I believe. The Dupont Chromalusions flash five.

All you can really see in the pics is purple and blue (maybe a little green), but it also gives out gold (copper kinda) and a pinkish hue in the right light.

Hey Enuttage,

Those pics don't do your car justice :). I'm glad I had a chance to see it in person :D. - Tommy

I'll be moving to Austin in September (attending UT Austin)... hope to see you there so we can roll out FD-style :)

NICE paint job, Enuttage!

Just curious, how much does it cost to get a color changing coat like yours?

P.S. Is that a 2000 Porsche 911 in the background? :)

Thanks!

This particular job was $7K. That was paint and body (new front bumper, spoiler, replacement of headlight covers and resetting of headlights, etc.). Probably would've run somewhere in the $5K range w/o the bodywork, I'm guessing.

I think the Porsche is a '01 TT, not sure though. It's my father-in-law's. I try not to keep up ;) . Have had the chance to autoX it though. Hella lot 'o fun.

That Porsche is definitely a TT..you can tell from the front scoops in the bumper..around $130k for that thing..

Seriously sweet..

Oh yeah..the RX7 is nice too..:p:

Should have clarified. I actually *did* know it was a TT, just not what year. Fun stuff. :D
