PFS K&N Filter.. What kind is it??

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new air filter element for my K&N PFS intake.

I bought a used one and it was in pretty bad shape.. Some gear grease of some kind got it and I don't think I could clean it out.. I have tried and still in bad shape.. Wondering if Some know what kind of filter it is and if I could order one from K&N direct.

Please contact me if you know this...

Thank you!

PHIL

It's a specially made filter for PFS. The oil could be coming from the BOV or CRV, which is normal. It would make the passenger side of the filter dirty. I doubt if PFS will sell just the filter but it's worth the try. If not, try calling K&N or one of their distributors to see if they can order you one.

I took mine out and cleaned it. I also have the PFS intake and IC. All I have to say is that changing the filter on that intake SUCKED ASS! It took me 30 minutes to loosen the bolts that hold the cover to the filter mount. Then I could not remove the housing cause the IC was in the way. My next mod is straight filters w/ no cold air box. Good luck.

Thanks guys.. I greatly appreciate your input!

I guess I will contact "bbr1" and see what kind of condition and what he is asking for.. otherwise, I might just spend 80 for another filter.. Maybe the person whom I bought the intake from will pitch in..

Thanks for all your help!!
