pfs intercooler and pfs ecu!
 

Ive just brought a rx7. I live in the uk and would like to know if this stuff is any good!

What is the good and bad ponit for these components.

Should I go with pfc?

PFS is about 5 minutes from where I live. I have been up there to talk with them a little but I haven't had my car worked on up there. They know a good amount of stuff about the cars but it's a little too costly for me. I would recommend the Apexi PFC for an ECU. It will replace your stock ECU instead of piggybacking like the PFS does. That means no more 3k hesitation, no more 3k cold start ups, and runs a lot smoother. The PFC is also really user friendly not to mention how much support you have from the other users on the forum.

If you can get a good deal on the PFS IC then go for it. It looks pretty well constructed just kind of small to me. M2 Performance makes some huge stock mount IC's but at cost. Blitz, Greddy, and Apexi make some nice looking front mount IC's as well.

It's already on the car so i guess i'm trying to see what i can play with!

Intercoolers are rated by how much air they flow and how much pressure drop there is. In general the larger the IC the more pressure drop but the more air it can flow. So if you are running a large turbo with lots of boost then you would want a large IC to handle the air volume. You would lose a little response because of the pressure drop but since you have such a large turbo you already have lag anyway. A smaller IC is more suited to the stock twins, although the stock IC is a bit small even for them. Stock mount is better for street and road racing whereas front mount is better for drag racing (in general).

Just depends on how much money you have and how much you want to spend on the car. Personally, i have the PFS IC and the PMC (among other PFS stuff) and am happy with all of it. Naturally, the PFC/AEM/ is going to be nicer - (standalone, plug and play, 16 bit, etc...) BUT, instead of blowing $1200 USD on a new computer and another $1000-$1500 on a new IC (for only a little more efficiency), why not blow the same money on a catback, cold air intake, high flow cat, etc.....
