PFC Pinball, tilt it and it dies, WHY?

I bought my PFC from SR Motorsports in November of last year. My mechanic when changing my motor removed it and noticed a wierd phenomenon when putting it back in. Whenever I unvelcroed the computer the computer and suabsequently the car will not work. As long as it is in there standing completely level the car will run. Well lately I have parked on some hills and when I went to restart the car it just wouldn't. I thought it was flooded or something so I removed the plugs and ECI relay cranked it over and attempted to restart it and it still wouldn't. It wasn't until I tried my stock ECU back in the car from and it started right up. When I got it on a level surface again I installed the PFC and it again fired right up. I tested it by letting the car idle and tilting the ECU. It immediately shuts the car off.

Has anyone else experienced anything even remotely similar? I called SR and they said that I could send it back to them and they could send it back to Japan but that is going to take forever. In the mean time I won't be able to drive my car because I won't have an ECU. My mechanic, Brian at Rotorsports, said that I could offer them my credit card number and SR could lend me an ECU until this one is repaired. I can't afford another PFC and I guess my car is out of commission until it is repaired or replaced. What are some alternatives? Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated.
