pfc and idle, inj at 40% at 2k!!!

why is this happening? car ran fine untill i reset the pfc, and now it wont idle worth a damm, i get black smoke out the back, pfc says i am under .091boost AT IDLE! the injectors inject 9-12% at 600rpms! as well as 2k rpms @ 35-42% wtf is going on?

it will not idle (sounds like a HUGE cam) it will not hold rpms, but accell and decel and perfectly fine.

You're in Chicago? Call A-Spec, they can probably help you out.

they did the motor, not the computer sale or install etc etc... there was also some unpleasantness between them and me on this and the other board, so i dont think i can call them.

are you running the 550cc/850cc in your car?

Sounds like your boost sensor got set to option 1 or something. That or the hose that goes from the UIM to the boost sensor popped off so now the PFC always see's atmospheric pressure when it should see vac...

i am running stock injectors set to pfc for stock size, as well as a 255 pump, stock regulator, rikki style non seq. no solenoids. (except wastegate control).

car runs and drives but its putting down WAY toomuch fuel.. i have the boost sensor plugged into the first nipple on the back of the uim right by the tps sensor.

REAL papaSMURF 08-27-03 02:01 PM

pim volt is set to normal (no options, i tried them all but it didnt help) made sure the boost sensor was plugged in correctly (it is and always was) for shits, i unplugged the o2 sensor, but it didnt change anything...

should i try plugging the boost sensor into a different nipple on the uim than the one by the tps sensor?

YES! You see there is no vac nipple by the TPS. There are no vac nipples on the throttle body! There is a stud that sticks out & confuses people into thinking it's a vac port but it NOT!

If you look at the hose diagram you'll see that it's supposed to plug into the back side of the LIM behind the throttle body.

My guess is you probably have a vac leak where that hose is supposed to go.

ok figured it out, i was wondering why this supposed "fuel filter" had a one way arrow on it.. i unplugged that line and blew from one end and there was no air flow, but there was from the other end.. i confused the shit with a check vavle, so when i hit boost of .09 it would stay that way and inject that at all times, unless i added more boost.. damm was i scared about that... now my idle hunts and pecks (1k-1500k) aka, the pfc is adjusting for the first time. thanks everyone for pointing me in the right direction... its always something dumb that makes your car run like total shit.

Fuel pressure regulator solenoid? You said you removed them all expect for the wastegate control?
I dunno what Ryan advocates as part of his non-sequential futzing.

there are a total of three nipples on the back side of the uim. two clustered together (both are capped now) and one by the front of the uim, i plugged it into that and it seems to be getting pressure just fine... if this isnt it, ill just tee off of the same nipple by the uim, lim gasket where my boost guage reads pressure from.

REAL papaSMURF 08-27-03 02:21 PM

i have the fpr solenoid deleted, i run a line from the lim directly to the fpr.
