PFC Boost control kit.... experienced users required

all,

i'm looking for more information on the PFC boost control kit.
some say it doesn't do well, some say it does well.

i need to hear from those owners that are running the kit. i found one pretty cheap... i was considering it...

biggest question.....

does the PFC boost control kit provide rock solid boost pressure for the stock twins with straight through exhaust? (no spiking, creeping)

I'm also interested in hearing more about it. I have a power fc on my car that is currently being converted to single turbo. I'm looking at adding the boost control and dataloggit feature. Lets hear more from people using them.

It doesn't matter how sophisticated your boost control system is, if you've got a "straight through exhaust" (no cats- midpipe) then you will have boost issues if the wastegate is un-modified. If you intend to go cat-less you must port your wastegate.

I have not used the boost control kit on my PFC. I have used it to control boost. However since the start boost and the peak boost are the only options you have to control i would say that it is wholly inferior to a stand alone EBC.

PFC:
Initial wastegate response
Desired boost
Peak boost (resets with shutdown)

PRofec B-Spec II
Start Boost (initial wastegate response)
Set (desired boost)
Gain (boost holding at high rpms)
Warning (audible alarm & flashing light)
Limiter (lowers the boost when you exceed warning setting)
Peak Boost (does *not* reset with shutdown)

Note that using a seperate EBC will not eliminate the fuel cut feature of the PFC.
