Pettit ECU what I need?
 

Ok, I'm debating on what I should do. I know I'm going to be keeping my stock twins. I have an engine rebuilb with around 26k on it. I have basically all the bolt ons the car can having except a midpipe which I'm going to be getting. My goal is to run around 300-325hp to the wheels and it being reliable.

What kind of ECU should I get? I thought a PFC would be best, but people are saying that's for 400+hp/single turbo setups and that you don't really need that for my goals. A regular ECU would be fine like the M2 or Pettit ECU. Here are the mods.

Like I said, the only things I really need to do/would do, is midpipe, ecu, and injectors. I will be installing the midpipe/injectors the same time I would do the ecu. I want the engine to be reliable so I want to hold 12psi even if I don't reach my HP goals.

You can run a PFC at the stock 10 PSI if you desire. It doesn't need to be for 500hp cars. The main thing about programmable ECU's is getting it tuned 'properly'.

If you don't plan to upgrade your injectors, the Pettit ECU would be fine. If upgrading injectors is in your plan, then you'll need a standalone like the PFC and 'proper' tuning.

Depending on what type of mid pipe you get. I had all bolts on in my FD(FMIC, CB, DP, Intake, No airpump, pulleys, etc) with my Pettit ECU. I was using a resonated catless midpipe running 12psi and it was starting to get a little lean (12.3 AFR with 93 octane gas). But I will still recommend the PFC for fine tuning.

Cause there is a used mint Power FC w/ commander over in the West Classifieds that I'm thinking about picking up. I'm supposed to meet up with him and he said he'd show me all the features to it.

on a knightsports ECU I'm getting 11-12lbs boost, no spikes with it. If you dont want to fool with tuning options and you know you wont be doing more mods than that midpipe, an upgraded ECU is the way to go, no hassles.
