Also in for the group buy. My new clutch has the same issue described when I'm in traffic...

I have nothing but great things to say about RHD. They respond very quickly and packages arrive sooner than packages from US(I'm in Canada). Packaging is very professional and you get points for every order. They offer great sexy products made by companies who have done so much for the Rx-7 and the culture surrounding it. Again, just a great site.

Ordered one of these a couple of weeks ago, and it just showed up this weekend. Pretty quick, all things considered.

I'm pretty used to my clutch at this point.. but it is definitely something worth having. I'd be interested in seeing a GB on this.

So I had the FEED clutch slave cylinder installed yesterday and took a quick drive back home from my mechanic... The engagement point when I release the clutch from neutral to 1st gear has improved dramatically and the car doesn't bog as much as it used to. I can say with confidence that this upgrade works!

Honestly it might not be due to your lightened flywheel because i have the exact same "issue" but i do not have a lightened flywheel. just food for thought is all

This looks great. I'll keep it in mind when it's time to replace my new stock clutch (the old ACT clutch broke).

For the record I have an OSGiken twin clutch/flywheel on my FC. These are unsprung clutches and I believe ceramic. I have a custom 22mm slave cylinder and the car feels almost like my daily driver Scion in transitioning and pedal effort... I will never go back.

Has anyone ever identified an OEM source for this part, or one that is readily available in the states? I would suspect it's a part for another car, but may be a custom rework by FEED.

Question for those with Exedy twin plate clutches that suffer this issue. Does your clutch chatter when the pedal is depressed?

My car came from Japan with a bunch of Feed parts, I cannot say which slave I have without looking. However, I do know I have an exedy compe-r twin disc (ZM022SBL), and it makes a steady whine with the clutch pedal depressed. I was thinking this was just a bad/old throwout bearing (setup has been in the car over 10 years). I get some chatter from it with my idle bouncing up and down sometimes, pedal out.

Outside of that, my engagement is pretty easy I think. Or maybe ive just got used to it.

For anyone experiencing an inconsistent engagement zone - a bad internal seal inside either the slave or master could cause this. There wouldn't be a visible external leak but fluid would be bypassing the piston inside. Now if both components have been replaced and you're experiencing the issue, that's a mystery.

Wonder if the Hinson/Wilwood MC would be an alternative

Requires a mounting adaptor

I have installed a few, they are the OEM FD part that has been bored out with a slightly larger piston installed. I disassembled the first one to verify.

I don't think it's the master, I have the 929 which is 1" and larger than stock anyway, it's the slave. Turns out, my Exedy has some other issues, so maybe it clears up once fixed.

It is normal. I stagger the disks so that the pads are not in the same locations, this virtually eliminates the chatter while disengaged
