Particles Backfiring out of Exhaust

Drove some mountain roads today for the first time in a year....had the car up aruond 4500rpm+ for good hour...never driven like this b4

car started shooting HUGE flames like massive shotguns...one was so big I could not see anything in my rear view mirror

My friend behind me said shit was hitting his car and pelting him constantly...he had to back off because it was like raining stuff out of my exhaust...he said some stuff looked like glowing embers blasting out of my exhaust even when it was not backfiring..another friend noted that every 2 seconds he would be pelted with shit from my exhaust

WTF is going on?

I noticed that my vac is now lower it had always pulled a good 21 on the PFS now its reading 19

Is it simply carbon deposits? How the hell could it all be coming from my engine? My guess and everyone elses is that the flames are breaking loose build up in the exhaust system?

Well for starters, are you still running a cat? If so, your cat is probably "gutting" itself. If not, then it could be carbon buildup being blown out.

no cats at all...but this is insane im worried about the inside of my engine....my friend was contemplating turning on his wipers!

Hmm.. really sounds like either your cat or pre-cat... unless you have a cheap ass resonated mid pipe, or muffler that was falling apart... I hight doubt it was anything coming out of your engine.
