Part Number?

I have done some searching and want to purchase a Baldwin or Motorcraft oil filter but I have no idea what the part numbers are or where the Baldwin is sold. This is for my bro-in-laws 1993 FD. He's in Iraq right now and left his baby for me to take care of. He told me to only put in the best and from all the studies on this forum these are the filters I will use. Please help.

Go ask your local parts store. I personally use an oversized WIX filter on mine.

Getting the "best" oil filter will not offer as much help as changing the oil and filter ever 1500-2000 miles.

I'll be changing the filter every time I change the oil, I just want to use whats best. I changed the oil with out adding a filter and the oil looked like black paint. It needs the filter changed so bad. Nearest parts store is 35 miles away. Would auto zone or advanced carry the Baldwins?

From everything I've read and heard and seen, the stock Mazda oil filter is more than adequate. It's probably cheaper than a top of the line filter too. More expensive doesn't always mean better.

im not trying to sound like a smart ass but why dont you p/u the yellow pages and start calling auto stores. If they don't carry it ask them who does.

You can also use a google search and see what you can come up with. You should be able to bring up a distributer.

You know... It never even crossed my mind. Thanks.

His wife has some plans for the FD while he's over seas, a new Apexi air intake, a turbo timer, then she wants to go ahead and get a BOV. She already got the silicone vaccum lines and cat back exhaust done.
