over boosting

Ok so here are my mods:stock twins seq, koyo rad, fmic, pettit ecu unlimtied, stage 3 clutch,dp,mp,pulley, intake, exhst that all and sometimes when I drive my car boost to 14 -15psi . Should I put put on manual boost controller and lower the boost. Is it a good idea to put after market fuel pump like walbro and after market injectors on fd with pettit ecu?

i would go with the pettit ecu, and a boost controller. that way you can set the boost to 14 psi(the limit bein 14.6 around there for the pettit ecu and enjoy your car.

But what is the safe boost without a chance of detonation on pettit ecu ?

Pettit recommends not running over 13 PSI with pump gas. However, I've done it and never lost an engine doing it but I don't recommend anyone else doing it.

As far as your boost, try using a boost controller to see if that will allow you to control it. If not, you might need to have your wastegate ported.

i had a spright pipe and intake and fuel pump witheh pettit ecu and i was hittign 15psi car was just fine. it would back fire a bit but thats about all but i had the air pump removed and a pully kit also .

have fun with your car :)

i was gonna set my pettit ecu to 14 psi, and now i'll have to port the wastegate.

Not necessarily. A local friend has all the bolt-on's with the Pettit ECU and a Race Ported motor (including midpipe) and never experienced boost creep until he ported his throttle body and UIM. Before that, he had no problems controlling boost.

Each car is different so I would just see what happens without porting the wastegate. However, if the turbos are already out of the car, it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and port them before they go back in. ;)
