Oooooo... shiny

I just got my turbo compressor housing back from a local motorcycle place here in VA. I was surprised with everything they grinded & smoothed from the orginal, no more seams or letters. They even got rid of that huge kob at the smallest part of the scroll (I am guessing left from the casting process). Now time to coat it and put it on the car. :D

Looks nice and shiny! Make sure it is clean inside before you put it back in just in case there is any muck in there from polishing.

Nice!

I've read that coating the compressor isn't recommended. I've already ceramic coated my hot side housing and plan to just get my compressor housing polished.

Gee Rich don't you have anything nice to say? :D Looks awesome Chris. |
Chris, your polished compressor housing looks like a million bucks.....do you have any more pics of your project :)?
(happy now Davey boy ;)?) |
I have nothing nice to say - oh wait.
Looks good Chris :) |
For zoop seal I think they recommend not putting it on exhaust components because it gets too hot. Radiators are fine though. How much did they charge?

This was a few months back when I was getting all the fittiment taken care of. The charge pipes have been done and a few things added since then. I will take a boat load of photos when the project is done and its a little more photo worthy. :)

He charged me like $250, Since all the grinding work & this being the first part they have done for me I was a little more flexible. Also since I didn't have to pay for shipping both ways, that saved me like $25. |
bling bling lol

outdoing yourself on the shinnyness arnt you there sir :D looks fantastic though

Looks good. The stubb they grinded off was for a npt fitting for boost controller or wastegate.

It definetly looks nice but I have to tell ya - $250.00 seems like a ton of money for polishing just that part. I got my UIM done by a forum member for $100.00 and it is *bling* :dunno: looks nice though:icon_tup: |
very nice :)
