lock forensics

I had searched most of the threads about locks and the cute little keyhole light. Everyone on here, but one guy swore that the light is only on the driver side. Mine is a very stock US car, with California only documented history, so I dot not suspect that anyone put on a JDM door or handle. Essentially...... I have some wiring on the passenger-side door handle! But I have no bulb, or it went awol. Does the wiring go only to what appears to be a lock position sensor?
Rewind:
My key stopped working recently on the passenger side and I had noticed pieces of white plastic lodged in the key hole. It must be this plastic tab / cover. But wait, it is only supposed to be on the driver's side? I got most out with tweezers, but I guess some remain and the key will only go in half way. I was able to get the door cylinder out by turning the yellow and white clips and popping off the rods. I had pried the white cap off with the blue and black wires attached to it, and this must be the light. What else is there that would need wires? There is no bulb, and the indentation looks like it reads the position of the lock.
This only left the brass clip, but it popped off with no drama. I will now take the lock cylinder to the locksmith to try to get more plastic out, realign the tumblers and lube it. I am hoping that these pics will be sufficient for me to reassemble everything.
I want to say that I recall the passenger side lighting up, but I could be hallucinating, like the AI large language models seem to be.....

I believe that's part of the security system. The illumination bulb mounts in that little "D" shaped bubble directly above the lock cylinder.

Thanks. Ah, security system sensor makes sense. This would be a tiny bulb, if it fits into the indentation.....Maybe I do not have a light on the passenger side, after all

Thank you kindly. I do not have the white wires and the light on the passenger side, then. My wires are just for the security system position sensor. I could have sworn I have seen a flicker of something. I need to quit sniffing glue!
