Okay, it is my turn!!!!!

I tried to do a compresion test with a standard tester. By depressing the vent valve, it gave very low readings as air was being vented out, but still 3 noticable equall bump were present, when I let it hold highest reding it was round 8. Then I did the second rotor. Highest value I got was 6

So this pretty much means that rotor's compression is toast. I did have one question that was unclear. The manual says to pull both trailing plugs. I only pulled the one on the rotor I was testing. Coudl this skew my resluts?

Car doesn't burn oil, etc. Just runs like shit now, was at 12mmhg vacuum after airpump removal,(never could get it to idle properly after BOPs) engine is nowat 9mmhg, but that could be from really rich running. It will still run up through the gears, etc.

Could this be somthing else, or only a blown engine?

Thanks,

Philip

okay, I am going to get the compression done by shop to get real readings but I was wodering if in fact engine has low compression of say 5 or 6, would it still idle normally? or would it cause this really low and rough idle. I don't want the low numerbs to sidetrack me from possibly the real solution.

Thanks again

Even if you get 5 or 6, I think the idle would still be smooth. 5-6 is low, but not that low. I think you need a lower compression than that to have a really bad idle.
