Ok, Need a definitive answer.

Alright I have searched some and could only find older threads and people seemed to be split between breaking in and not breaking in. How many miles should I put on the MAZDA REMAN engine before I actually boost and go WOT. The guys at the dealership said 500 below 4K rmps. Just wondering if that is good enough. thanks

there is no definitive. most respected builders say 500 miles and change the oil. maybe 500 more easy and then start easing into boost. try to vary the rpms so the oil press and such will vary. you may want more miles with new bearings. most people who buy "new" cars never break them in maybe thats why some only last 50,000 and some go 100,000

If you searched and found that people were split, what makes you think you'll get a definitive answer now? There is not definitive answer. Read those threads and do what you think is reasonable.

Also, a thread title more descriptive than 'Ok, Need a definitive answer.' would have immensely.

just do what this guy says..not only have i heard many people state this method

but if you think about it..it makes the most sense...

easy on the engine for 500 miles
ease into it for the next 500 miles
then start to boost it...but dont just watch the 1000mile click over and then floor it

Agreed, I thought this was going to be about one of about a dozen things:
Synth vs. Dino
FM vs SM
Evans v Glycol/H2O
10W30 v 20W50
etc.
