Ok how do you mix two cycle oil in your tank if the cars on jacks?

Yeah this is a dumb question.

This is whats going on, my car has been in storage for the last year, and I'm coming home soon and want to start the car. But I dont have the OMP anymore, and before I left I filled the car up and added oil to the tank, also before I left I srayed Fogging oil in to the housing coating all the faces. Well I know after a year the oil and the gas will have seperated. Also I know I can just start the car for a minute or so with no problem, but I know it will take a while to get the car to even start and when it does it going to smoke real bad but after that its going to be just gas and no oil. So how do I mix the oil?

push down on the back of your car making the gas and oil in your tank slosh around thats what i would do

eo2am 12-25-07 06:37 PM

its complety toped off

turboIIrotary 12-25-07 06:38 PM

put some wheels on it then try...or is it not possible to put wheels on?

eo2am 12-25-07 06:43 PM

I can, but I figured there had to be a easier way to do it.

eo2am 12-25-07 06:45 PM

well I want to leave the car on jack stands so I can car replace the plugs and oil after I get the car started and warmed up.

No worries, drive it around without boost for a while and the oil will mix. U can drive the car without premixing as long as u don't boost the car.

So just start here up and drive for a while. But take it easy since she's been sitting for a while. The gas will have lost some octane lvs's since it's been sitting in your tank for a year.

Oh and flush out your coolant. And add new water and coolant.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year

Yeah I was planning on doin all that. Ok so your saying let the car run on the stands for 10 min is ok, and I can then go ahead and do all the tune up stuff. Then just drive the car easy.

Mahjik 12-25-07 06:53 PM

You'll most likely be fine just running it as is... However if you are really that worried; pull a plug from the front an rear housings, squirt some two cycle oil in each housing and then fire the car up. That will help lubricate things until what's in the tank gets mixed.

eo2am 12-25-07 07:07 PM

Well I know at start up theres plenty of oil in the sytem. Like I said I sprayed fogging oil in to the housing. But I was just worried if I let it run for 5 mins to warm up, of course I would be reving it to about 1000-2000 rpms to help it stop smoking and to assit in warming up.

theorie 12-25-07 07:10 PM

siphon the gas out and the put it back in...?

1QWIK7 12-25-07 07:59 PM

Stick a tube in the gas tank and BLOW, HARD!!

Thats what i did to my friends blazer. I ran about 3 feet of tubing (it was about 3/8 tubing, clear plastic) and ran it as far as i could stick it in the gas tank and just kept on blowing, like if i was blowing bubbles. I knew it was working cause you can actually hear it, well i could.

Good luck.

Take the fittings off an aircompressor hose stick it in the tank, put rags around rest of filler neck to catch splashes etc..turn air compressor on. Ensure your eyeballs arent near the filler!!

I mixed some stale fuel with some new fuel & octane booster in my tank doing this.

MazdaMike02 12-25-07 10:15 PM

Octane booster and I'd also do the plastic line in the tank and blow...Just like making bubbles in your chocolate milk when you were little.

eo2am 12-26-07 02:11 AM

Ok I thought of that. But I there there was a screen in the line so someone could not syphin you gas.

cmanns 12-26-07 02:19 AM

Just turn it on lol

I would probably do this BUT would put a new fresh tank of premixed gas/oil. First, siphon the gas out, then refill about a 2-3 gallons of fresh gas, then add the correct amount of oil, then add the rest of it in.

I think I will need that girl in your avitar to show me how to blow hard. ;)

Just use the diagnostic jumper to run the fuel pump for a while.

My thoughts exactly.

It's premix, so it's designed to mix with fuel and stay mixed. If you need to increase the ratio of premix for whatever reason, then dump in the additional premix and run the F/P for a while. The jumper method is really quick and easy.

As stated I would use the jumper wire from FP to GND. Let the pump run for 10-20 mins.

Depending on the state of your battery I would have a charger on it to serve two functions. A: to keep the battery from being drained and B: to charge the already fatigued battery.

The next smart thing to do would be to unplug the AWS so it doesn't shoot sky-high when you start it.

eo2am 12-26-07 02:36 PM

thats not a bad idea! But will it work if I have a haltech? I can remember but I think the AWS is gone.

mono4lamar 12-26-07 05:14 PM

If you have a haltech then why the hell would it go up to 1000-2000 rpms? :dunno:

whatsanfc 12-26-07 05:45 PM

if youre really that worried.. and its already up on jacks. i'd just drain it, its easy as hell. but gas is way too expensive to waste right now
