Oil temp sender location

After searching it seems as if the easiest install for the oil temp sender is by tapping the banjo bolt on the filter pedestal. My question and concern is that the sensor will interfere with the oil flow in that it will probably use up about 1/2 of the diameter of the bajo bolt.

Does anyone know if the typical electrical sender will interfere with flow through the banjo bolt?

If so, does anyone have advice for an alternate intall location?

I guess AN lines with an adapter would be the best, but I'd like to use the tapped banjo if it's not restrictive?

I have a drain plug with an oil temp sender. It's a direct replacement for the oil pan drain plug. Just disconnect a spade connection to change the oil. I have VDO gauges.

GReddy makes an adapter that goes under the oil filter. It has places for both oil temp and pressure. I don't know if it would be compatable with your gauges, though.

The greddy oil filter block adapter comes with 2 standard NPT fittings. I imagine this would work with the majority of gauge sensors. I know it works with the Greddy and Defi gauges.
