Wow you're all over the place with those oil viscosities. 15-50? It's the detergents - non-lubricating additives - in the oil that give it those broad temperature-dependent viscosities.

Part of the answer depends on how extensive are your heat-generating modifications. With the assumption that the car is stock or lightly modded, and you're not living in an extremely hot or cold environment, the simple answer is 10-30 and change the oil every 2500 miles, or sooner if the oil begins to turn dark.

I don't feel like getting technical or discussing the chemistry on this one. It's 4:40am in SF.

Choose your viscosity based upon your climate. Changing the oil every 2K-2.5K miles is more important IMO than anything else (as long as you choose a good viscosity)

You will hear a LOT of differing opinoins between mineral oils and synthetics. You decide what you want in your car. Personally I run 10w-30 RP synthetic as I would rather have the lower oil temps that synthetic provides and RP (Royal Purple) although expensive per quart has an incredibly low ash count. Although I have heard great things about Castrols oil line from others here too.

Search through the forums on Oils and you will find a few 500+ post thread discussing the technology of oil and what to look for and what not to.

So many threads on here about this...

I ran castrol gtx 10/30 in my car for the first 3 years I had it. Compression #'s were OUTSTANDING at 25K on that motor. Last year I switched to mobil1 10/30 synthetic and premixing and still have great numbers.

The key is what was mentioned above, just change it very regularly with a good (oem if possible) oil filter.

Like previously said, 100's of threads on Oil for our cars, Synth vs non, ect. Make your own decision on whether you want to run synthetic or non, and then pick the appropriate viscosity based upon your climate. (I have no idea what the temperature range is in Greece)

i ran fine with mobile 1 fully synthetic 10x30.....IMO i think u just need to change it reguarly...
i usuallly do it around 2k-3k miles
