Oil Leak
 

I have a strange oil leak I can't run down or exactly locate. It is on the drivers side around the oil fill tube. Oil is on the base where it bolts and runs down the entire drivers side of the motor. It is not a real bad leak, but any leak is a bad leak. I have heard that the gasket on the oil fill tubes go bad, but couldn't find anything with the search functions. Is there an easy fix for this? I also noticed that there are some aftermarket fill tubes. Were these designed to fix some sort of factory flaw? Any help would be appreciated.:icon_tup:

I would recommend first, cleaning the engine with some degreaser and then seeing if you can locate better where the leak is coming from....

the fill tube uses an o-ring to seal it to the middle iron pipe, it doesn't commonly fail but they do tend to seep a bit at that connection. if someone forgot to put the o-ring back in there, then i could foresee it having a considerable leak after say, changing the plug wires.
