You might not need new lines. Where are they leaking from? The connectors have some o-rings in there that might need to be replaced.

Where is the leak? Is it at the banjo bolt or at the clip connection?

shazzam00 03-22-07 06:42 PM

where the crimp is there is oil all over that spot...

go braided...only way to fly

and install a drain plug for the oil cooler line, while you're at it

I'm not convinced braided is that great. What are the advantages over stock?

The stock oil cooler lines do not leak, unless there is a compromised crush washer on either end. The entire system has proven to be bulletproof. Plus, I recently swapped out my stock coolers and was surprised at the small amount of oil that drained out of the coolers and lines.

The only real advantage is removing the c-clip type connection the stock system uses (that a few people have not connected properly and dumped their oil on the ground). IMO, its a waste of time to keep the stock oil cooler and only replace the lines with braided lines.

Now, if you are upgrading the cooler, that's a different situation.

Installed properly, the c-clips work very well......I've never seen the need to eliminate them.

thanks for the replies... im just gonna order the damn o-rings... from where i see it it seems like the oil squirts out from where the crimp and the hose connect... the car was sitting for about two years... ill just wash that area and see if it that...thank you...
