Oil/Coolant passage porting.......
 

Can someone explain this...advantages/disadvantages and if this is good for a daily driver. Motor is getting a street port.

IMO, I don't see the point of those mods if the car isn't going to be a track car (i.e. at high rpms for long periods of time). Even then, there are street/track cars doing just fine without those mods. A pure race car would probably benefit greatly from those.

I'm trying to find out what this porting does. If it helps longevity at all, then it might be worth it while the engine is apart.

Well, the principle would be to increase flow of the cooling liquids. The more fluid you have flowing the more heat that can be evacuated from the metal. However, I still don't believe those modifications would cause a noticeable difference except under extreme conditions such as road racing (or for a pure race car).

Also search beyond the 3rd gen section.

On a daily driver it probably won't make a huge difference. The only time you'll really notice is when you put the motor under stress like on a HPDE track day. Why don't you ask your engine builder for input on this? I'm sure he'll have an opinion.
