Oil control ring question

I am assembling my rotors and noticed that the rotor oil rings don't move very freely. Are they supposed to move in and out nicely like the rest of the metal seals on the rotor? They do move, but not much.

oh yeah, I'm using Viton orings.

I don't want to get this thing together and have it smoking all over the place.

yo

i used viton too.

that also worried me but as long as the rings go flush with presure your fine.

i used the back of a knife to go around the edge of the ring to un-twiste the rings if there was any before i put them in. It worked great and twists are a bad thing.

they should push back to about 1/8 inch from the surface.

Do you remember what size you used?

My current ones are:
Inner: Dash 244
Outer: Dash 247
per this thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...5&pagenumber=2

After some measuring I think that these will work better:
Inner: Dash 157
Outer: Dash 158
