odometer rollback
I purchased a car 2 years ago and now that im getting ready to sell it I find that the person I bought it from must have changed the odometer. He did not inform me of this and put 42k actual miles on the pink slip. I have since put a new motor in the car. Is there anyway I could win like a small claims court case or like get the dmv to have him pay me money?
Thanks alot |
How did they roll back the odometer? its purely digital
Check www.carfax.com to get a report on it before you do anything. They will be able to tell based upon millage reports whether it has been rolled back or not. |

What proof do you have that the odometer was rolled back? Legally if you have hard evidence you can sue him for everything. Odometer fraud is a very big crime.

1)- Is he the original owner?
2)- Do you have documentation (dated Repair Receipts or Oil change receipts) indicating conflicting mileage to support the "roll-back" occurred under his ownership? 3)- Has the Instument Panel been replaced? 4)- Auto to manual swap? |
