Odd problem Ive got
When i let the car sit for more then 2 days without turning it on it has this problem that would remind me of fouled plugs or broken ignition. However when i drive it to work for the day and come home it runs better then ever. When i drive it in the morning it constantly fluctuates between 700 and 1100 rpm with a pretty rought idle. It also backfires and stumbles like crazy if you try to gas it. Now i figure this has to do with plugs getting fouled but why would it all of a sudden fix itself for the drive home? If i drive the car till its warmed up in the morning- park it and turn it off and back on again it still has the same problem, its only if i let it sit for a whole days work after driving in the morning. Anyone got any ideas? Suggestions?

Could be the water temp sensor that feeds the ECU. If the ECU doesn't get a reading from it or the reading is off, the car will run pretty crappy until it's at operating temp.
Do you have a stock ECU or PowerFC? It could also be fouled plugs. That's always a good first thing to do when troubleshooting a problem like this - throw in a set of fresh plugs. Good plugs fix all KINDS of weird problems. Dale |
Old broken down plug wires are are also likely to cause symptoms like you describe. Just the moisture in the air can cause the wires to arc to ground.

I run a pfc, i never checked the plug wires themself gonna see if maybe that is it.
