odd mac valve boost control solenoid location

Not so sure if this location is a good idea, right under the UIM. What kind of issues could this cause? There are two in my car, I believe this is for the secondary, which gets inconsistent boost (which I believe is from high IAT but who knows now...) |
I'm not sure what temps those valves are rated at, most people put them over by the frame rail or somewhere slightly away from the heat.
If they were using it to replace the stock boost control solenoids they may have put it there to be close to the wiring. If it was generally where the stock solenoids are it would get some decent airflow. Of course, your boost problems could be anything. Just the solenoids being there isn't a bad thing or smoking gun. If you are experiencing a funky boost pattern, you may need to go through your entire control system (hose condition and layout, solenoids, actuators, check valves) and especially if you have a non-stock setup.
