Ntek battery kit installation

I bought a NTek battery kit and it seems the battery tray doesn't mount in the same location (no suprise). Being that the OEM tray has the holes near the middle of the tray, and the Nteks tray has to brackets hanging off the front and back, where are they supposed to go?

The pics on my BMK page may help (scroll down). I did this years ago, so I don't really remember...but I do remember after taking out the old battery tray, it all just made sense in terms of where to put the BMK battery box.

N-tech

If I remember correctly the battery mounts to the frame with 2 bolts.

I believe that the battery used in the N'Tech miniaturization kit is a Hawker Odyssey PC680.

The best price I have seen for the Hawker Odyssey PC680 is $85 at www.BatteryMart.com:

The two metal "tongues" (for want of a better word) bolt directly to the frame rail underneath where the OEM battery tray attaches.

It's pretty basic.

Good Luck!

I must have gone temporarily blind, though I was trying to do it at night with horrible lighting. But I guess you are quite right, straight to the frame. Thanks for the help, I'll keep the stupid questions comin' :D

you can order the post from hawker batteries.

MrBrian 04-05-02 04:56 PM

be sure to trickle charge the battery once every other week. the battery is nice and small, but it doesnt last too long if you dont charge it.
