Normal TPS values

So I've found plenty of information about what the values should be for the full and narrow range voltages, but only at fully closed and fully open throttle positions. I'm just within spec on both, but I noticed that the narrow range increases and peaks much earlier than the full range. Once it peaks, it holds constant at its high value all the way until I get to WOT. Is this normal behavior? It seems like it could be if that 'narrow' value only comes into play at 'lower' throttle positions. Is there information somewhere on what the behavior of the values should be as the throttle position is increased up to WOT? It would be nice to have something to compare to.

Mines pretty linear from 0.5v to 4.6v (from memory). You using PFC?

I am, and I can watch the narrow range increase to a peak and then hold, while the full range is more as you describe.

That's normal. The shop manual has the specs and testing procedure for the TPS. Generally FD TPS's are pretty damn reliable, FC TPS's were a hot mess of failure.

Thanks! I may still replace it because it's just barely able to be brought into spec.

breakfast I feel you. I am in the same boat, I reach the spec numbers way before WOT and I don't like it, but don't hear too much about whether or not this is OK.

car SEEMS to be running not the best with common tps/throttle issues, but it could be something else
