Is this a normal sound
Not sure if the sound noted in my video is the Airpump or if its turbo related?
maybe someone can diagnose the sound and how to fix it. This was recorded today. Pictures are of the car warmed up after about 6-8 mins of idling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWjPUko2s1Y video of engine That noise is comming from the passenger side down by the back of the airpump/turbo area I tend to start the car while its stored once every 2-3 weeks, when it starts up the noice is much more noticable, the car does idle a bit high. There is alot of black soot that commes out of the exhaust when first starting it up. I do use a premix and i did premix before I put it away, now the car is only 1/4 tank ful.. |

Might be a blown gasket off the exhaust mani or turbo mani. Thats what that muttering may be. I had more of a lawnmower sound.
Aftermarket exhaust manifold? Brand? What turbo's and downpipe? |

Your downpipe is probably not laying flush and needs to be shaved.
The gasket can only accommodate so much between the turbo and the downpipe. My HKS down wasn't sitting flush with the stock turbo's cause air to leak and the gasket to blow. Check the downpipe.. |
