normal engine operating temp

i'm just wondering whats the normal operating temp for your engines. I just change my radiator to koyo ajnd as usual i have some fitment issues. i run the car and the temp came up to 104 C. i don't remember it going that high with my stock rad. i only see that temp aftrer i turn off the engine and the fan is not running anymore. now when my engine is running and i am on a stop light i can see the temp on my power fc go up. just wondering if thats normal or something i have the pros look in at.

searh on this one.. there's alotta info on this topic...

However, my temps on the freeway were 180-190f and in stop and go it would go up to 220-230f.

during heat soak when the engine is turned off the damn thing goes up to 240f+....

temps going to 104 deg C just after shutdown is nothing to worry about. Average running temps are usually between 83 and 90 deg C.

well now in 50 degree weather, i can barely hit 180f..either the sensor of the gauge is slow or it doesnt work.. but actually it does work cause i did a test on heatsoak and it rose to 200 so i def knew it worked..

i guess its the fall weather..

well i live in florida and today i think the weather is around 95C. still i saw 100C on my pfc commander when i was on a stop. when i got home i check to see the engine and i saw that one of the fans were stuck. i have to take everything on top of the rad and trim some of the ducting and the battery tray. it seems like the fan was hitting the battery tray. i guesse i'll be moving the battery to the back as soon as it needs some changing. i heard the optima blue top is realy cheap in costco if you are a member. i run the car after i put it all back and i've only been seing 86 to 88 C. maybe because it was already night time and the temp outside is cooler. i'll try it again tomorrow to see how it works out asnd i;ll post the results.

i disagree..i think normal temps are 94 -100C. Atleastt hats what my car ran when it was almost new. Alot of people have the power fc kick the fans on at 87 degrees..otherwise they wouldnt turn on till much higher...like high 90s. i remebert the parking light trick where u could run your parking lights and that would cause the fans to click on at 94 C.

Anything from 180 to 220's is normal depending on conditions.

My car runs at about 180F (sensor is in the thermostat housing) on the freeway. If it sits in traffic for more than 3 mins or so, the temps will start creeping up to 200F. The fan mod keeps the temps in check for me. During this stormy weather lately, I've hard time getting my temps past 170F.

The temp on my PFC normally reads 83-87C. In hottest part of summer, that changes to about 87-89C. At a long stop light, it begins to creep to around 92-95C.

seems like that fan was the problem. i have been runningt tha car for 2 days now and i haven't seeen it go pass 94C even in a long stop. thanks for the repliesm guys.
