noob question: oil pressure
ok let me start off by saying my mechanical knowledge is very limited
my questions are: 1. it seems the oil system is mechanical i.e. oil is pushed through the engine mechanically.. is this correct? 2. my oil level sensor is not installed because the cable is broken .. could this affect oil pressure? 3. i don't know if my oil pressure sensor is working properly (the yellow bell looking thing next to the oil filter) ... could this have any affect on oil pressure? i.e. the ecu tries to compensate for a bad oil pressure sensor? 4. could premixing compensate for a oil system that's not working properly? 5. is there a definitive way to ensure oil is flowing properly without the use of the oil pressure gauge on the dash? |
