Non-sequential boost problems.

I recently switched to poor man's non-seq. and there seems to be a problem. I reach full boost(13 psi) at about 4300rpm and then it drops down quickly to 10psi. I checked all of the couplers and they seem fine. I even took the y-pipe coupler out and inspected it. I did replace the worm clams with new ones.

Has anybody heard of this problem when switching to non-seq.? Any suggestions on things to look for?

Just some backround info.....The sequential system never worked right on my car. I always spiked really bad on transition then boost drops down to 10 psi. Tried a manual boost controller but it didn't help. Do I have my boost controller installed right?

i had to adjusted the turbo pre-control rod to get rid of my spike, and my low primary boost issue. if all of your control is setup right and you are still having problem, trying looking at your hardware side, the wastegate rod, turbo precontrol rod.

good luck.

Thanks for the input but I'm not trying to fix the seq. system. I was under the impression that all pre-control systems were not functional after the non-seq. conversion.

Your supposed to cap off the other nipple in the actuator shown in the pic. Thats your problem.

I'll do that tomorrow thanks.

Exactly, the lower nipple on the wastegate actuator needs to be capped off. Otherwise the stock wastegate solenoid will control the boost for you and prevent the BC from fully functioning.

I have had the wastegate solenoid unplugged for some time now. But I cappped the nipple anyways......same problem boost goes up to 13psi and then drops to about 10psi. Maybe I should go through my couplers again and make sure.

Where is a good cheap place to get silicone couplers? One of the guys here in town said he could order me the size I need but he wants $65.00. Sounds way to expensive to me. Any help would be appreciated.
