non-seq mod, now idles high

last night we did the non-seq mod...following the rikki guide and hose guide

blew the main fuse so it didnt start

today we fixed the fuse and it fired right up

now the car idles...but it jumps... like.... 900-1.5... then again...again...again... then 1.5-2...again again again...back to 900-1.5

i took it for a drive and it kept it at 2k....so even in gear i could only go 2k

what in the car would do that.....

also...what are those 2-4 electrical connectors UNDER the UIM.. that plug into the sides and underside

Nothing you did in the non-seq conversion should have affected that, unless you knocked loose a random vacuum hose. Take a look around as much as you can see under the UIM, near the wastegate and pre-control solenoids (the two electrical connectors behind the pressure chamber) and see if you can see anything loose.

The only other thing I can think of is the car wasn't warm yet, so the idle was a bit high, but I figured you wouldn't have overlooked that.

Adjust the Throttle screws just a little bit, close it up a bit. Its because when you do a Non-Seq conversion, its a lot less restrictive and the air flows better, and if its flows a little better the ecu is too stupid to adjust (well that is for a stock ecu). Just manually fix it. Plus make sure everything is hooked up correctly, triple checking is never a bad idea.

I have no clue how to fix your driving RPM problem.

triple checked everything...ill try to adjust the idle screws and if that doesnt work the tps

What engine management are you using? Did you remove the whole nest or just unplug everything? What all did you remove?

To me it sounds like something didn't get plugged back in right or might be loose. A small leak or uncap'd vacuum stem on the UIM will cause idle issues. Also, if you are on stock ECU and have components removed without 1/2 watt 330ohm resistors in place, you might have idling issues due to a wigged ECU.
