how can the precontrol vaccum lines control anything? don't you just rip that out (the turbo precontrol actuator, step 1 in the non-seq conversion?)?
also, when you wire the tca open, you wire it to go toward the rear of the car right? |
i'm pretty sure front

Okay, I've been working at it all day. I've disconnected the Pre-Control Actuator, made an EGR blockoff plate, gotten rid of the rats nest, done the throttle body modification, electrical taped all the stupid solenoid connectors together(that way, when I do an engine swap, I know NOT to connect those).
I'll be blocking off all of the stupid little nipples coming off of the UIM. Plus redoing any remaining silicone hoses(Thanks Sleeper SR20 for all the NEON GREEN silicone hose!). I'm going to have P.P. racing president(Dragon) take a look at my handy work to make sure that I'm not missing anything:p: It's been REAL fun. I'll be working into the wee night hours finishing this up. Next time I post up on this thread....I'll be finished!!!;) |

like the home depot style? it will ber the same place...

ok, is this photo suppose to be right for someone running PowerFC ecu? It seems wrong but this is what i came up with after reading BlackR1 post.
The reason how this could workis because the precontrol solenoid can't control anything since you already took out the TCA actuator right? Infact that is the first thing your suppose to do in the non-seq conversion. Also, what would happen if you hooked up the solenoids wrong, from my understanding, the solenoids release pressure causing there to be more boost, if you want to decrease boost as much as posible and play it safe, you would just disconnect and plug all the solenoids and vaccum lines. After this, you could control boost then by a manual boost controller by installing a bleeder valve right between the wastegate actuator and primary turbo. |

What if u don't have PFC? i have XS ecu...
can i just follow ur direction rikky? |
J,
I am glad it worked out for ya. non-seq is the shit dude have fun man |

Well I had a great setup for seq. but the PMS could not control boost very well at all I would get 16-17 spikes not good at all so I would have to drive around with it on low all the time unless it was really hot outside then it would work o.k. then I met 7-sins and he was like f that seq set-up dude! I was like well back you shit up take me for a ride and I almost shit myself it was smooth strong pull all the way to redline..... since that day I needed non-seq and chris(7-sins) came down for a day of wrenching at the garage (w/a lift) makes it a hell of a lot easier to work on for sure...
even with a great seq. setup if you cant control boost it is not a good setup regardless!! non-seq boost control is a pc. of cake -Rikki |

It took me a good day of work to do ALL of it i.e. taking ALL of the stupid vacuum lines off, pulling the stupid PCA, redoing remaining needed vacuum lines in Neon Green(these things GLOW in the dark), caping off or rerunning the unused nipples on the UIM and LIM, 850 cc primaries, programming PFC, eating, sleeping and some good Japanese lovin'! |
Originally posted by Toadman Correct. While leaning over the engine from the nose, the pre-control solenoid is on the LEFT. Carefully snap off the connector, pull the two hoses underneath, and plug them both tightly. Pre-spool of the secondary turbo is now dead. The RIGHT green actuator(wastegate control) vacuum lines remain connected. The controversy erupts when (if you are running stock twins), do you swap the female harness plugs on those actuators. Raj |
yeah you keep the pressure chamber. But I am working on a new hose diagram that only use like 7-8 hoses no chmbers should be cool.
keep ya posted... |

But I am working on a new hose diagram that only use like 7-8 hoses no chmbers should be cool. keep ya posted... 1 vacuum line to the FPR. 2 vacuum lines to Front/Rear oil metering 1 vacuum line to the BOV 1 vacuum line to the boost gauge 1 vacuum line going to the primary actuator 1 vacuum line going to the secondary actuator capped off ALL lines that remained(there aren't that many). also, you can cut away at the coil cover so that it is "easier" to access. I'll have to borrow a digi-cam and take pics of what I have done. It should look pretty good since I used NEON GREEN silicone line to do this crap. My FD PULLS and PULLS and PULLS! I am however still getting boost creep.... ...but with 850 primary's...it doesn't matter since I'm getting ALL the fuel my engine wants(PFC reads as high as 83% injector duty). I took out the rats nest primarily to install the 850cc injectors. However, since I had to "de-install" all the stupid vacuum hoses, I figured I'll go non-sequential to make it easier on "re-installing" all that stuff back. Worked out like a charm!:) |
did you keep the purge control? and that sorta stuff?
