non-seq conversion (a quick question)
for all those who have done the non-seq conversion, on the part where the hardlines (vaccume lines comming from the precontroller and wastegate) go to the solonoids under the pressure chamber, did you disconnect all 4 of them or only the 2 for the precontroller (on the precontroller solonoid)? I have read 2 different how to's and both have different stuff.
thanks |
well it really depends on the ecu you are running. guys w/PFC's cap the wastegate line(to the right) and swap the 2 black connectors for the solenoids. and guys that run pretty much anything else cap the precontrol lines(left) and swap the black connectors. so PFC use's precontrol to control boost & anything else use's wastegate to control boost. hope this helps.

Well I have the PMS and I run non-seq and it works great . but as soon as I get the cash for a pfc I am on it.
as you guys know 3/10 of a second and gained 4mph in the 1/4 not bad for a cheap $1.00 mod... |

Where'd you get your info to do this? A thread on this forum? You remember where it was at? Post it!!! Holy crap...$1.00 |
check out my site
www.dontbearikki.com how to section non-seq. 1.00 is for the coathanger actually it cost nothing ata ll really. check it out and have fun you will not regret it at all..... |
oh yeah it took about 30 minutes

This is kinda confusing and I'll try to draw a pic later to make it look better, in any case, you disconnect the precontrol vaccum lines right cuz thats gonna be disconnected anyways right. |
Correct. While leaning over the engine from the nose, the pre-control solenoid is on the LEFT. Carefully snap off the connector, pull the two hoses underneath, and plug them both tightly. Pre-spool of the secondary turbo is now dead. The RIGHT green actuator(wastegate control) vacuum lines remain connected. The controversy erupts when (if you are running stock twins), do you swap the female harness plugs on those actuators.

ok here is what i came up with, i know its a crappy photo but there is only so big of a pic u can post on this server.
non1 pic is of a stock system non2 pic is of a stock system that has been converted to non-seq. non3 pic is of a Power FC ecu system that has been converted to non-seq. is this some what right? KEY: the red lines are what is disconnected and/or capped the blue lines are what is connected the yellow lines/arrows are so that u can see what im pointing to, they are the same as the black lines/arrows BTW: attached is the non1 pic is of a stock system. |
here is non2 pic is of a stock system that has been converted to non-seq.
|
here is non3 pic is of a Power FC ecu system that has been converted to non-seq.

you need to use the precontrol harness connector (ie:the black connector) on the wastegate solenoid.... and cap the precontrol completely... guys using the power fc must switch the connectors but use the precontrol hardpipe line... it does not matter which solenoid you use they are the same it is what is plugged in to it... PMS,stock/mod ecu uses the wastegate hard line and PFC guys use the precontrol hard line....

so PFC =
precontrol vaccum lines = connected wastegate vaccum lines = plugged precontrol elec. connector = disconnected wastegate elec connector = connected to precontrol connector ? |
Now this is my ? Well I have the power fc . I took all the solenoids out .and I want to use a manual boost controller how do I connect it ?
That will be the shiet if some one can help me ? Thanks |

Okay, I'm about to do it!
I think I've got all the info that I may need, and did a lot of praying too! I'll post up tonight(or morning for you guys in the states) my results! Wish me luck!!!:p: |
go for it j you will be driving all morning or night filled with gleeeeeee
|
:bigthumb: thanks for the tips DontbeaRikki
Im ready to go BB IHI Single Turbo now :D The car runs a lot richer when running non-sequential huh? My plugs were already a little fouled, and i think me getting boost crazy last night in the canyons took em out for good. Gotta alter my driving style due to the narrower powerband...gonna lead a canyon run tomorrow, and i feel safer running non-seq...no more shift in power mid gear in a turn Anyone know how much those block off plates are offhand? |
I plan on tearing some back roads up tommorow but first I have twsted rx coming down for a non-seq conversion then I will hit the streets to fock with the rikki's yeah baby yeah
