non seq auto cross?
 

Well i have been going back and forth and cant decide to go non seq or not. I drive my car on the street alot and try to make it to all the auto cross events i can. Do you think running non seq will kill my auto cross fun? Most of the places we auto cross are pretty much first gear all around.

I guess im just getting sick of waiting for my secoundary to kick in. I would rather just have a smooth build of boost not the seqential roller coaster.

I just keep reading all these different threads of seq or non and there seems to be no real answere.

never done it but i thought autox is always in 2nd gear no?

if you have a PFC and datalogit you can set it up so that it will stay non sequential after the initial launch. It's in the Settings 1 screen, turbo transition low boxes, set those to like 1500 rpm or maybe lower. then after you start it won't go back to sequential mode unless your rpms drop to 1500

of course you don't the simplification of full nonsequential, nor the power benefit. it will have a more predictable powerband though.

Unfortunetly i dont have a pfc, i wouldnt trust anyone to tune it around montana. I am running a pettit ecu.

if your stk seq system works properly leave it be. non seq you get nothing till around 3500 rpm then it comes on. way less lag with stk system imo

+1 the car will feel like a dog around town and if you don't let the car go below 3k once it does the transition it wont go back to sequential.
