No Power to ECU?

I have a power fc. Car started fine. I extended the fan wires. Now car doesn't start. The commander flickers for a split second but doesn't stay on. Any ideas?

Start with checking fuses, go with the easy stuff first. If you have a stock ECU may be worth swapping it in to see if the PFC has a problem.

I think the battery might have been low? I charged it a bit and manage to get the car started again. Let it warm up for a bit. Then the second i hit the a/c to see if the fans would come on. The car shut off and ecu wont' power on again.

Just for anyone else. I believe mine culprit was the ignition switch. I noticed when i turned the key halfway, the ecu would come on. I took apart the ignition switch and bent the metal a bit to have better contact. Seems to be working.

New OEM ignition switches are still available from Mazda for about $65, IIRC. Cheap insurance if your existing switch is getting flaky.

I put a new one in my FD as an experiment and saw a little more voltage to the fuel pump even with no obvious sign of trouble with my original (except for age), probably all the circuits benifited in some manner, too.

Yea, I'm thinking I should change mine anyways. Has anyone used this store?

Just about anybody with a rotary has dealt with atkinsrotary. Pretty good place.

Rock Auto has had brand new ignition switches that arrive in a Mazda box for a great price. I'd check that first.

But, yes, Atkins is a great source as well.
