I use stock wires and I'm putting down a decent amount of power. I had Taylor's that failed on me after about a year.

My dad's R1 had bad initial lag, and it turned out to be a combination of a torn IC coupler hose, loose bolts where the downpipe meets the cat (exhaust leak), and an incorrect (too small/restrictive) gasket where the dowpipe meets the main cat.

KD Rotary is an amazing shop, if you can get your car in to get worked on. Stay away from dealers--do as much of the work yourself as possible. No one (no one) cares about your FD like you do.

The best way (and only way I've found) to remove the infamous 3k hesitation is to get an aftermarket ECU. My Power FC cured mine entirely.

Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions :)

Hope this helps---
