New plate and various things [PICS]

My new plate for the Rex came in yesterday. "TRINGLS"

I also did my plugs today because the car was missing badly when cold and the idle was terrible. She idles smooth and doesnt miss a beat when cold either! Here's why:

The other plugs I didnt take pics of actually had warped/melted electrodes! This is only after 3k on the new plugs... :\ I need to replace my fuel filter badly as well, that comes this weekend.

Oh yes, also before it got too dark out I pulled my stock IC, battery and various other attached items so I could get an idea of how the new IC will look. Well I found this once I got under everything..

Looks like there was a rather nasty coolant leak, possibly the AST blew on the previous owner. :( Either way mine will be replaced with the alu one I have sitting next to me so no worries of that in the future, although the rust/corrosion does concern me... I am going to look for a replacement support rail as it is removeable and I'll just try to clean everything else up as best I can when I pull the rad.

I need to change my plugs to.....

that rust/corrosion looks virtually identical to mine, but mine was caused by battery breakage, and the acid going on to it. same spots and everything... neutralize that with some baking soda and water if it has any signs of corrosion.

haha i like the plate because not too many people will actually understand its true meaning......

Maybe that was the culprit... did you get splash damge on that 'shelf' of the chassis that the battery tray's other two bolts go into; or on the lines below the support rail?

Thank you for the idea, I'll have to try that. I just tried rinsing away some of it with brake cleaner and it helped but was still pretty bad.
