New front fenders or repair or?
My car needs paint. It also needs some minor body fixing. One of the issues I've caused myself is my front tires have torn up my front fenders. Pulled out the underside of the lip many times and trashed the line and paint. I'm faced with either trying to have the body shope either try to reshape the fenders or roll them. The other option would be to just replace them with something a little wider or add overfenders of some kind. Thoughts on experience doing either one of these? If I replace the fenders I want something that looks pretty stockish looking. I don't really want to replace the wheels/tires as I'm not going to change the wheels and this has happened with several tire sizes. Car is just low. Options? Cost vs value? Thoughts? |
Find a good body shop and ask them. Sounds like you need to raise the car slightly.

Any suggestions or things to stay away from if I do replace the fenders? I like the looks of the Seibon fenders and they are a bit wider. I do worry about CF being crunched though then having to deal with that mess.

I'd stick with stock and have someone roll em for you. Maybe even hit up MaxSpd or Fritz for a set of the right colored ones if yours are bent up. I can't really comment on the fenders, but I haven't seen too many Seibon hoods that fit correctly.
If I was to do anything other than stock I'd hit up Shine auto. From what I've seen at car meets and track days they seem to have better fitment than most other aftermarket body part suppliers. |
