The car runs very nicelly, theres a few dings and dents but other then that its in excellent condition. 80k miles on first engine. Sometimes at idling the rpms bounce, is this normal or could there be a problem? I have about 2 grand left over to spend on the car, any suggestions? Car already has lightweight Aluminum Flywheel, 3’ stainless steel header & down pipe. Thx -Eric

Another 3k+ for the engine rebuild :)

Car looks good to me, also looks like the previous owner put a lip on too.

Nice looking car seem to have been well kept. I would investigate the bouncing idel. Could be many things. Mine was bouncing a bit and never going below 1100rpm. After long investigation and many other synthomps including white oil smoke and lots of oil coming out from blowdown resulting from oil mixing with fuel, my specialist and I found out it to be blocked in and even out coolant pipes to the auto choke. Car was running as if never hot.

Find a specialist and investigate it. Might be just a choke setting but it is best to solve problems before they get worst with this car believe me.

Gratz for your purchase.

The people i bought the car from gave me a bunch of bottles of stuff to put in my tank everytime i fill up. They werent sure what it was called, there mechanic told them to put it in. Im going to try to take my car to a rotary mechanic this week to get it checked out. Hopefully the idling problem is nothing.

Welcome.

There is a sticky thread for posting pics.

For technical questions, read the FAQ (also a sticky) and check out the resources linked in there. Lots of good information.
