Need ur opnions getting another FD after ex has stolen.

I guess you guys have alrdy known that I just lost my '95. skip all those feeling thing. it probly ends up getting another one, I still have the thinking of buying another even if my '95 is recovered. But if not, sure, I will get another.

Ok, so now, I have few options of getting another FD
1. do my research, and ask friends in car trading industry to take care all happening car auctions, and probly wait half year or longer to get another '95 black touring.
2. go to a rx7 shop I knew, and picking up a '93 with low mileage(50k miles) red touring, new engine(not reman) or a '93 black R1 with also low mileage(50k miles around) (need more info)
3. get a whatever '93, rebuild it as a project car with expecting spending 7k usd on it.

so, what's u guys opinion?

get an R1 go for a true performance RX-7. Unless of course you want to keep the leather seats and like the sunroof :-D
But I say go R1

Yeah, Node. that's rite, cuz I am planning joining some series racing events. so, it helps, hmm.. but anyway, I still will moded it a lot, why the heck bother to get the R1, ( I know what's in the R1) Node, I remeber you have a nice black FD too, mind send the pic again to here jordansfd3s@hotmail.com?

Ok, let's here some other opinion? c'mon guys. I NEED UR OPINIONS.

I think it comes down to what you really plan on doing with the car.

if you just want a track type car buy a well used one that needs a motor or high mile car. because you will probably replace most of the parts that wear out with any car you buy. shocks, springs, radiator, intercooler ect..

if you want a nice car to begin with then you know you will pay more for good paint, nice interior ect.

yeah R1 is suppose to be the race model, but a base is still lighter. and a touring is not that much more. and you remove all the bose crap and the weight will come down. + a sunroof is nice to cruise around town in ;)

for what you would pay for another 95 you could buy a pretty nice 93 and add some nice mods as well.

to me there is no reason to buy a really nice mint car if you plan on doing a lot of mods and racing, save some money and put it into make the car the way you really want it.

sorry to hear about your car that really sucks.
and good luck with what ever you decide to do.

Mako: thanks, man. you words are everything. But, should I be worry about chassis, if the car has a high mileage, I know, even you changed the engine, suspension, turbo, and others, the chassis is getting weaker and weaker, which is not good for racing, racers need their car to last during events.
And, this car is not gonna just see the track, I am still gonna use it on the street. I don't give a shit about exterior, but I love my ex black touring, that's a nice color I want to get on my coming FD too.

what other things? any more comments?

Mahjik 10-22-01 12:56 AM

I love my FD, but if I had it all over to do again... I would get a cheap FD with a blown motor. Then I would turn it into a project car, making it exactly as I wanted it.

Sorry to hear about your car. Good luck on your next purchase. ;)

So, there's one more option from Mahjik
4. buying an '93 with a blown engine.

stolen car

Hey man i know how it feels my Turbo II was stolen from me this past summer and i replaced it with a 93 R1 with 46,000 miles. Definately get another FD. just try to get a second car to do your chores, take to work and drive the FD on your own lesure time. Dont let some low life scum bag thief rob you from your right to have an awnsome car. I dont drive mine every day i only use it on the weekends and never take it to a public place and park it thats what the second car is for. I hope this helps you out a bit.

I agree, go w/ a blown engine and make your dream car. That's what i'm doing when my engine blows :)
