need speedometer help

ever since i did that stupid white face gauge convertion for my cluster, my car has never read right. i need to know how that speedometer works...i know it must do the convertion in the acctual unit...cause when i take out the cluster all together and just look at my PFC commander to get the speed i get a zero reading. and when i plug it back in...the commander gets readings. but i am thinking this reading is really wrong!!! the gauge reads really really slow. for example when i floor the car it takes about 5 to 6 seconds for the needle to catch up to the speed i am at...and if i come to a complete stop it also takes about 5 seconds to sit at zero. so when i took the needle off to change out the gauge i must have messed something up. even if the needle was reading slowly...would this mess up the PFC readings? please say somebody knows the answer. if you don't mind...can somebody tell me if they are in 5th gear at 3000 rpm they get a reading of 118-119 on the pfc?

thanks,
mikey

from what I know

2nd gear @ 3k rpm = 45kms
3rd gear @ 3k rpm = 65kms
5th gear @ 3k rpm = 128kms

divide by roughly 1.6 to get miles

This is the exact problem im having with the speedo, same issue right on the money!!! Anyone here found a fix for this??? Also if anyone out there has a US Spec speedo can you find out and possible post a pic of where the maximum rotation stop point on the speedo, I might try that approach to allign the speedo needle back and see what happens!!!

Thanks...

speedo sensor maybe?, or the clusters going bad..

Thanks for the reply, but its not the speed sensor and the issue is due to me messing up the gauges and trying to get them back together!!! I got all of them alligned accept for the speedo!!! :(
