Need some Opinions

I know you guys are shy about giving your opinions :rlaugh: but... I would like some opinions on body kits I am thinking of.

I am thinking:
Burnout fenders front and rear
OEM sideskirts and mudguards
Seibon "Scoot" hood
Either Feed or Burnout front fender

All painted in stock silver color. Suggestions? Smart ass remarks? OK...Go!

So no opinions?

99 spec, vertex, c-west... please stay away from veilside :) its terrible! Burnout kit all around is very nice also!

I haven't seen a body kit I like better than the stock look on the FD. How is that for an opinion. :)

Granted the stock is a beautiful girl. However, where I live it is hot as hell so I need a vented hood, hence the Scoot. The Scoot doesn't look as good on a stock FD as it does with some wide fenders. Plus I want to try and build the car mazda might have built if they hadn't puss'd out on the RX7 after a few years.

Stock bumper covers (OEM or 99+ doesn't matter) Mazdaspeed (replica) hood. OEM sideskirts with rear mud guards. All painted body color.
Since MAZDA built the FD for nearly 10 yrs......through 2002, you might say that is the car that MAZDA built.

True they built it for 10 years but didn't really do any significant styling upgrades. The 99spec front end does look a lot better than the early models. I think the early models and the early Miata share some resemblances. You know I don't mind the stock bumper look but I need airflow to my radiator and IC because it hovers around 90-105 almost all year where I live and this is a daily driver.

Thanks for your input

They did update the front end.....but you could argue the rest of the car aged better than just about anything else I can think of from that era. I'd guess most of us have surprised people when they find out how old these cars actually are.

Anywhoo, you asked for opinions and my tastes generally run with OEM. Usually better fitment and overall quality and usually goes better with the lines of the car. Even avoids possible insurance hassles in the event of accidents when you can say it's all OEM. And in general and IMHO, it maintains the re-sale value of the car since it's styling isn't as polarizing in the "love it or hate it" kinda way. ;)

Like I said before and will say again and again. My car is 14 years old, and looks like I just bought it. Timeless styling. I don't know how many other people experience this phenomenon, but several times a year I get notes left on my car asking if it is for sale and telling me they love my car. Weird. I'll tell you this, I guarantee you no other car, Corvette, Ferrari, whatever, gets note like that.
