Need picture of map pocket lid feature
1 Attachment(s)
I'm in need of a good picture of the feature on the map pocket lid that holds the roll pin--mine broke and I'm trying to repair mine as I still have the pin and the rest of the cover is in good shape. There are a lot of photos of this out there, but I'm looking for one that is looking straight on (or rather, normal to) the feature so I can model it up and have something similar machined or printed and then fixed onto the cover..
Does anyone have a non-broken cover that they could post a picture of? I've attached a photo of my broken one showing the picture orientation I'm needing. If I can get this help, I'll update this thread with my attempts at fixing this. Thanks! |
Spend the $100 and buy a bubble tech lid. You won't be disappointed. If you try and glue that nonsense back together it's just gonna break again.

If I need to do that, I don't have a problem with it, but I have a couple things in mind that I want to try... half of the fun is trying to fix it. :)
Anyone have an unbroken lid lying around that they wouldn't mind taking a snapshot of? It doesn't have to be with a high quality camera or anything (I just used my phone). |
you can jury rig it yourself, but I recommend squashing the the dentent spring so that the lid is very loose.
otherwise the next thing to break will be the pin hole on the bin. |
